So Best Dreams was inspired by a moment, when a person I love dearly was really struggling to see anything good in the world, because of demands of modern life, work and covid. Almost the whole can’t see the trees for the woods idea. Hence the lyric line, “I’ve been saving all my best dreams for you baby, but you just let them slip right bye.” From that I wrote a complete love song, telling the story of a love triangle and pining for another who was being treated poorly by her significant other. (don’t ask me why it’s just what came out) From there when it came time to record it my Bass player/associate producer Alister George suggested the idea of making it a duet and I knew exactly who to call.

I had been playing with Stef for the better part of a year, (I am appearing on her up and coming music.) So I asked and she said yes! I was so happy with the way she sounds on Best Dreams and now couldn’t imaging anyone else singing it.
